Abstract

|
Twenty chronic low back pain patients were evaluated for their lumobsacral angles with Ferguson method before and after Pelvic Tilting Exercise(PTE) therapy session. The average Ferguson angles before and after the exercise treatment session were
31.4
and 27.7 degrees respectively, and there was no statistical significance. However, Disability Questionnarie and Pain Rating Scale(by Roland & Morris). Revealed significant functional recovery(P<0.05) and pain reduction(P<0.001) after PTE, being
compared
with the control group, which did not show any significant difference. It is concluded that lumbosacral angle does not seem to be changed much by the PTE, although, pain reducing effect of the exercise is excellent.
